MRS. MERCY EUNICE KYEI
Mrs. Kyei is the Founder and C.E.O. of Boaitey & Associates Insurance Brokers Ltd, with over fifty (50) years of experience in the insurance industry. She holds the distinction of being the first woman to qualify as a Chartered Insurer in Ghana.
She pursued her studies at Holborn College of Law and Commerce, London, England, in 1958, and earned her Chartered Insurance qualification in 1972.
Mrs. Kyei began her career with the State Insurance Corporation (SIC), where she gained extensive experience in all classes of insurance business and later became the Head of the Accident Department. In 1983, she relocated to Nigeria to work as a Senior Insurance Underwriter with an insurance company in Ibadan.
Upon her return to Ghana in 1987, she rejoined SIC, where she rose through the ranks to become Acting General Manager (Technical), overseeing all technical departments. She also lectured at the SIC Insurance Training School for many years and served as a lecturer at the West African Insurance Institute (WAII) in Banjul, The Gambia.
Mrs. Kyei retired from SIC in 2002 as Acting General Manager (Technical). She is widely respected in the insurance industry for her deep expertise, professionalism, and leadership. A passionate mentor and educator, She desires to train and mentor the younger generation to become experts in the industry.
